Ernst Fisch Holzindustrie –

Setting Course for the Future

“Challenging times call for clear action” – it was with this sentence that Ernst Daniel Fisch, former owner of Ernst Fisch Holzindustrie in Rüthen, began a message to his employees. These “challenging times” are characterized by changes in the environment and markets that require new strategic approaches and the courage to implement them.

And it is in the spirit of “clear action” that Ernst Daniel Fisch (57) also handed over full management responsibility to Uwe Rubin (43) following the second and complete acquisition of shares.

Uwe Rubin had previously held 50%, acquired from Ernst Daniel Fisch on 1 January 2021. This means that from 1 January 2022, the company will be led by a managing director who has been part of the company for 23 years, having held a range of different positions.

It was shortly after completing his training that he joined Ernst Fisch, initially as an assistant to the production management, then as a production controller. Following a number of other roles, he most recently served as a member of the management team. Uwe Rubin is notable for his passion for innovation and strong market expertise, which he has already brought to bear in his previous positions. For some time, he has been responsible for crucial investments at the Rüthen site, demonstrating the company's commitment to the future. Further investments and strategic realignments are planned.
